In the 1990s, there were many successful local IT consulting firms, most of which had beautiful office space that the consultants themselves rarely used. More often, the consultants were on-site with their clients and never in their firm's office building. Such was the case with UNS Founder and President Matt Haney. He saw an opportunity to test out a virtual model of the IT business and opened Universal Network Solutions, Inc. (UNS) in 1997.
The virtual-IT business model that was adapted for UNS has allowed for very little overhead and a team of client-based consultants, both of which translate to more competitive rates for clients. While most of the late 1990s Internet venture companies have closed since the dot-com bust, UNS continues to grow, allowing us to open a second office in Atlanta in 2005.
